Miami-Dade County declared Sunday, April 6, 2008 as Miami Lakes Christian Academy Day! The proclamation was signed by Mayor Carlos Alvarez in honor of our girls basketball team winning the state championship.
If Miami-Dade Public Schools closed for a Hurricane or other weather event, then MLCA isclosed for a Hurricane or other weather event.

The Greeting Card sale began the first week of September. Last year, we raised $2200. Thank you to all who participated!
Athletics
Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Volleyball team (10-1) for placing 6th in the state championship play-offs! Joanna Pisani was named Tournament MVP.
Congratualtions to the Boys Varsity Foottball team (10-1) for finishing 5th in the state championship playoffs! Jose Banos was named tournament MVP.
The MLCA sports teams overall record for the Fall seasons in 2008-2009 was 20-2! Great job teams!
